RIFLE. Cal. 500 A-Square. S# 171317. Bbl. 23". Hannibal bolt action rifle chambered in .500 A-Square mfg. from a P14 / Model of 1917 rifle receiver by A-Square. Left side of the bbl. is marked ".500 A-Square", with "A-Square/ Made in U.S.A." marked on the right. Left side of the receiver is engraved "A-Square". Metal components exhibit a dull/matte gray finish overall, save for on the bolt body, which is polished in-the-white.1-piece custom wood brown epoxy bedded pistol grip stock with red rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Toeline of stock and underside of forearm feature inletted sling swivel bases. Ramped brass beaded blade front sight with Winchester African rear sight. Chamber and rear of bbl. are drilled and tapped with Leupold QD bases, featuring a Leupold M8-2X Extended E.R. scope. Bbl. features a flat lug. Receiver features an integral mag. well housing and a Timney trigger. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original A-Square finish, exhibiting a few light superficial handling marks and some small scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Floorplate exhibits scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting spots and streaks of what appears to be hardened grease / firing residue, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows some superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection.
